CORE 2010 Youth Scholarship
The biennial CORE Conference On Railway Engineering is the premier Australasian rail industry gathering, attracting top rail engineering experts and leaders from around the world. CORE 2010 is being held in Wellington, New Zealand, September 12-15th 2010.
The rail sector realises the importance of young people – fresh ideas (and faces) for the future of rail. The Youth Scholarship award was successfully introduced at CORE 2008. The scholarships are intended to introduce young professionals to the opportunities within the Rail industry and provide exposure to the latest research, technology and ideas.
Scholarships will be awarded to 50 tertiary students or recent graduates with an interest in the rail industry from the following disciplines:
- Engineering
- Project Management and Planning
- Business/ Commerce
- Information Technology
- Spatial Sciences

The CORE 2010 Youth Scholarship Package includes
- Passes for each day of the two-day conference (Mon 13th, Tues 14th)
- A technical tour (Wed 15th)
- Lunch, morning and afternoon teas during conference/tour
- Youth Scholarship social & networking sessions
- Attendance certificate for CV/PD portfolio
- Conference proceedings
